January 25, 2019 – Canada’s new food guide debuted this week – eliminating the traditional four food groups and recommended serving sizes while highlighting a more wholesome and simple approach to healthy eating.

The new food guide encourages Canadians to increase their intake of unprocessed fruits and vegetables, add more plant-based protein sources, whole grain foods and making water the drink of choice.
